I first ran for office, I promised to:
Keep our community vibrant and healthy.

Single-story overlay zones in Lincoln and Varsity Court
neighborhoods.

neighborhood

Construct Graham Reservoir that will add 8 million gallon
storage capacity to our water system.
Expanded Miramonte Reservoir by an additional 3 million
gallons.

El Camino Real Median Landscaping.
Maintain ongoing annual Street Repair and Resurfacing.
Renovation of Police & Fire Building Lobby.
HOUSING
Development of Efficiency Studios.
Approved moderate density housing developments, adding to
our supply.
Housing Initiatives seminars for City Employees and Public
School Teachers.
Contributed $600,000 to Santa Clara County Housing Trust
fund and received funds back for Efficiency
Studios.
CITY
FINANCES
Maintained a Balanced Budget for all years in office.
Obtained and Maintained AAA Standard & Poor's Credit
Rating thus lowering our interest expense.
Refinanced Debt at lower interest rates.
Fought vigorously to maintain equitable and fair fees in
Recreation, Building, Planning and Public
Works departments.
Volunteered the Economic Development Manager and myself
as Mayor to a Santa Clara County Cities
Association blue ribbon economic development task force.
ACCESSIBILITY
Instituted Mayor's office hours on Monday and Friday afternoons/evenings.
Hold "Share With Mayor Pear" from 9:30
am to 12:00 pm on weekends.
TRANSPORTATION Initiated
Sunnyvale Ford’s donation of two electric vehicles.
